A bit of elegance among other loud and tacky options in this area. The food was fresh, farm to table in a beautiful restored historical building. Reasonable prices, quiet atmosphere and friendly staff. I’m more than happy to support this local restaurant again. The espresso burger and sweet potato fries were cooked to perfection. Glad this is an option in downtown Bolivar. A gem in a sea of mediocre places. A+!

We were visiting Stockton lake and drove over to Basil and Bourbon. We had an amazing experience! The service was excellent, the prices are so reasonable, the drinks were perfect and the food we fell in love with. Thanks for a great night ❤️.

My husband and I stopped on a road trip and found this gem on Google. At first we were worried the place might be too bougie for us, but were reassured by the price point. One of us had the peach burger and one had the bluebird. Both sandwiches had an awesome flavor profile without being too complex. The sweet fruity notes were surprisingly well suited for the meats. We both chose the sweet potato fries and they were the best I have ever had! My only complaint is that there weren’t more fries they are so good!

What a touch of class! Food was amazing and priced reasonable. Our waitress was very professional and courteous, along with the other staff that greeted us. Decor in the historic building was so elegant with its simplicity. A quiet place to visit without feeling rushed. We have passed this place up so many times, not in the mood for sandwiches. But they are not ordinary sandwiches. Amazing appetizers as well. We will come back regularly now.

Say at the bar and conversed with co-owner Steve. Great burger and conversation. I had the sweet Bleu burger. The addition of the fig was an interesting twist that raised the flavor profile! If you're a bourbon lover, this place is for you. The Thursday each month is a bourbon club tasting. Check it out!

Most delicious find in Bolivar!! We were looking for a farm to table, higher end cocktail restaurant and bar on our way to the city. Thank goodness we stopped!! Homemade simple syrups, and creative menu items. Loved every single thing!! The atmosphere is just as wonderful as the fresh food and service. Support small business!!

Beautiful restaurant in downtown Bolivar, MO. Inside, elegant in an understated way. Delightfully clean restrooms. Food top notch, although I did only try a couple appetizers; with them as indicators, the entree's would be fabulous. Highly recommend the Lollipop Chicken appetizer. Double bonus for their nice selection of beer on tap including Hefe Weizen! Worth the trip.

Food is great and unique, drinks are amazing, appetizers delicious but good god the wait was atrocious. They left to kill the cow, brought it back, cut it and then cooked it. We were here 2 hours total. They did have two big tables before us but for just burgers and wraps it’s really unacceptable to take that long. Staff is always great! I love this place but my hubby can’t get over the wait. We wanted to get desert at the end but was afraid on how long it would take to come out. Maybe just hire a second chief only on busy days. I’d love to come back but it’s gonna take a lot of my hubby to want to wait so long.
