We had enjoyed Ethiopian food previously but not in the DMV Area, we found this place on google with 4.9 rating and gave it a try. We ordered the Bole special which includes two steak dish and one chicken stew with three vegetable dishes for three of us, the portion was generous and we were not able to finish in spite of loving the taste thoroughly. The price is more than reasonable! It’s also worth mentioning that they also offer the gluten free injera (the thin bread you eat with the entrees ) and plenty of vegetarian choices.
Last but the least the lady who served us was very tentative and friendly, with a lovely smile on her face all the time.
Parking is super easy and the seating is kids friendly too.
We will definitely come back and highly recommend the restaurant.

Hot, fresh, delicious!! First time so we had to go for the Bole Bole special. A lot for two people but it was so good that we finished. High-quality meat and flavorful spices. Injira is made in-house and is the best I’ve had! Great environment too.

We got the bole bole special which more than fed the four of us. They were out of doro wot so they had us pick a meat to substitute it I believe it was the Geba Weta we chose but I didn't do the ordering so I'm not sure but it was insanely flavorful definitely the best thing on the plate. It came sizzling in a pan and then one of the servers dumped it onto the plate. Really my only complaint is that the veggies here were much soupier and blander than I'm used to for Ethiopian food. But I will definitely be coming back to have that one meat again and to one day work up the courage to try some of the raw meat options I saw on the menu.

P.S. the decor and seating style of this restaurant is beautiful and cozy and there is a fun timer game where if you stop the timer at exactly 10secs you get your meal for free

First time going here and was beyond impressed. I got the “veggie combo of 7” and each dish was packed with flavor. As someone who is a meat lover, these vegetarian dishes were the best I have tried. Their pricing is definitely affordable as well as their drinks. They had a huge list of cocktails that were ALL $9.99. There were guys that came in just to get drinks at the bar. The service is also great, definitely a family run business that is super genuine. They even let you play a game at the end which allows u to get ur whole tab covered if u win. There are other ethiopian restaurants in this area but this is the best one!

Delicious food, warm service and a cozy atmosphere. Awaze & Derke tibs were full of rich and spicy flavor. Mika took great care of us with warm, attentive hospitality that made the experience even better.

We had a feast here during the weekend. The food was superb. Authentic taste of Ethiopia and we tried dishes that we have never heard of before like Meat and Veggies with Injera bread and FirFir. Will definitely come back again.

I’ve tried many Ethiopian restaurants in the DMV area and NoVa and this was the absolute best. The food was so delicious. My parents from out of town also said it was the best Ethiopian food they’ve ever had. Good service as well!

We maybe missed the best part of the day here, went for a late lunch. The food took a long time and they didn’t have all the options available so my vegetarian coworker only had 2 options to pick between. It was a fun spot, I would recommend it for evening when it is busier. Maybe I’m not familiar with Ethiopian food l, but my dish was fairly bland, just not a lot of flavor unfortunately. It was decent but not flavorful enough that I would make an effort to eat there again. The staff was a little disinterested in us, but again we were there early.
