Fantastic environment. Kind and welcoming staff . Phenomenal food.
Just go. You will not be disappointed. quality, Quality, QUALITY.
Our new go to spot and right down the road from home! I can do a happy dance knowing I don’t have to cook every day .
Thank you Peter and Maddie for opening this quality made food establishment. We prefer local sourced foods, mostly buy from the Mill General Generally store ; we have loved all the dishes that taste exactly as they should -real food.
Camila ( I hope I spelled that correctly) has served us each time ; amazing , kind, knowledgeable and laughs with us knowing we love to talk, relax and enjoy Cantina 229.
Thankful and appreciative for a quality restaurant. Looking forward to many years of frequenting this gem!

It’s wonderful that this special spot in New Marlborough MA has reopened with enthusiastic and talented new owners and an incredible chef and staff. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and there is a wonderful vibe. We had a delicious meal. The menu is small but has variation and inventiveness. The chicken entree was tender, moist and flavorful. Others at our table raved about the Skate. The crispy tofu is delicious and is available as an entree or an appetizer. The waffle dessert was a very special treat of flavor and texture. It’s overall a delightful taste of the culinary bounty of the Berkshires with a unique flare. Looking forward to returning soon!

Cantina is a gem in the southern Berkshires. The staff are wonderful, the drinks and food are delicious, and the atmosphere -- with cozy outdoor spaces and indoor dining options -- makes it the perfect destination for dinner. A great feature is the bar dining option, if you're coming solo or for a spontaneous dinner. Cantina is the best thing about the neighborhood!

We had the pleasure of dining at the newly reopened Cantina Restaurant in New Marlborough, Massachusetts recently. The food is locally sourced and delicious. We were able to sample four of the entrees and found each to be beautifully prepared. The appetizers and fresh-baked biscuits were equally excellent. The cocktails were notable, the atmosphere welcoming, and the service attentive. (I take one point off for the bus staff being a bit too keen to whisk our dishes away from us, but I expect they were new to the job and a little overeager.)
All in all, a wonderful addition to the Berkshire dining scene.

We were delighted to discover this wonderful restaurant. The service was excellent and the food was even better. My husband had skate wing with black rice that he felt was exceptional. The hors d’ oeuvres were positively delicious - the tofu, mac and cheese and cauliflower soup, all delightful. This will be our go to place.

The food was excellent. The chef is clearly inventive with a complete focus on local ingredients in season. Sophia, a talented bartender, was an absolute machine - maintaining calm even while being barraged w/ cocktail requests. Finally, Scotty who greeted us as we checked in, was kind and accommodating to everyone - even those who either arrived too early or without a reservation. He found a way to make it work.
All in, it was a great dining experience.
