Had a great time on Jerry's Jet Boat tour that included lunch at this location. Captain was entertaining and accurate about a bumpy and wet ride depending on your seated location. Prefix lunch menu when you're on the boat tour. Kids tickets are cheaper, but they are only able to order off the kids menu. Food was OK for BBQ; salad portion was large enough for sharing along with our other adult entree, and we were full for the rest of our trip.
Low point of the trip was running into two women at the shoreline while we were cooling off in the water who proceeded to kill a small semi-aquatic garter snake. In the commotion and realizing what they were freaking out about, I offered to relocate it for them and asked if it was a garter snake (harmless to humans, non-venomous). Growing up in OR and now residing in AZ with an appreciation of the outdoors & various outdoor activities, I've educated myself on the difference. Their response as they threw down large river rocks, "it's a snake!"..... upon seeing the dumbfounded expression of everyone in our small group they further justified killing it with, "we have rattlesnakes here".
If it had truly been a rattlesnake, the fact that they had their <10yo child joining in and getting within striking distance would have been negligent. I can't imagine these folks were local, though they did wish us an, "enjoy your trip", after slurping down a jello shot, as we walked away shocked and discouraged by their behavior. These wild & scenic wilderness areas are accessible only as long as human interactions, reduction habitat, et al., do not force closures due to our negative effects on our outdoor recreation spaces and other inhabitants (wildlife included). In case you're wondering, I attached photos of a gartner snake, that I took while it was hunting minnows on the Rogue River a few days later within a couple feet of me as I was playing "tourist" visiting my Oregon home for a couple weeks this summer. It won't harm you, and it moved away as soon as I took a step closer.

We had such a wonderful lunch at the lodge restaurant overlooking the Rogue River.
As part of a river trip, we stopped for lunch here and all the staff treated us so kindly. The BBQ meal we had consisted of ribs, pulled pork and brisket, along with a corn muffin, cole slaw and baked beans and a drink. It was so delicious and hot. We also ordered a berry cobbler that was home made with Oregon berries.
Thank you for your hospitality!!! We highly recommend their meals!

A beautiful lodge and restaurant near the wilderness section of the Rogue River. Just a short drive from Gold Beach and you'll find some of the best barbecue pulled pork and brisket in southwestern Oregon.

The view from the patio is stunning and the service was excellent

Highly recommend taking a short drive and enjoy the restaurant / bar and the lodge. You won't be disappointed

Rooms are super clean and reasonably priced. Some have a view of the Rogue River.Great BBQ on property. There's also a store that has pretty much whatever you need for your stay.

Right on the Rogue River …this place is fabulous and has lodge rooms, cabins, and an Rv park with a few tent spots. The onsite grocery store has plenty of reasonably priced goods to include a liquor counter , frozen food options and basic necessities plus…cool merchandise from Agness, Oregon. Lots of history in this amazing place . In the summer there is a night market held on some Fridays! Some people call it paradise.

We are in the slow part of the year so they are currently only open on the weekend with a limited menu. What they serve is very good and the bar setting is a good place to eat. They have Oregon lottery machines if you enjoy gambling. They also have outdoor seating which may be a little to cold this time of the year but it's a great place to come alone or with a big group in the warmer months. You can also make the trip up in one of the guide boats they stop for lunch as part of the trip. It gets pretty busy during that time but only during the warm months, they don't run during the winter months. I have not yet been on one of the boats but i hear it's a lot of fun and plan reserving a seat this coming summer season. Come for the food it's worth your time. Just be sure to call to make sure they are open. If the weekend hours are to slow they may end up closing for the season as they have done in the past. Also there is a big screen tv which usually has sports playing and the people you meet are always friendly.

We ate here as part of the Jerry’s Jet Boat tour. The barbecue plate was horrible, everything was dry. Number 1 rule of barbecue is don’t make it dry. Really sad considering the 6 hour tour is $150 and you get barbecue so dry you choke on it. The reason it doesn’t have more bad reviews is that there is no service anywhere near the area and there is no WiFi so people don’t have the ability to immediately post. I just wanted to warn others.
