Drove by looking for lunch and saw a packed lot—had to check it out. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted like family. Had a juicy, loaded cheeseburger, crispy chicken sandwich, tasty fries, and killer Texas Twinkies (bacon-wrapped stuffed jalapeños). Food took a bit, but it was clearly made fresh—totally worth the wait. Inside’s got plenty of seating and even a tree growing through the roof. We’ll definitely be back to eat with our new fam at John B’s!

Absolutely love this homey chill and friendly bar, everything from Tuesday night tacos to karaoke, to darts juke box, pool tables, dance floor, game machines, bar and grill, and Sunday brunch until 3!!
John B's absolutely has everything including the friendliest patrons and bartenders! Definitely a gem.

Neighborhood bar with basic beer selection and great food.
Robert put me onto the daily special, fried chicken sandwich with Sriracha Aioli coleslaw, beautiful marriage of flavors for such a simple sandwich.
Lots of regulars in and out of here.
Looking forward to my next visit. Hear the Philly sandwich, Philly Quesadillas and the Burgers are great.

Its amazing here!! Great service. Amanda is a sweetheart and does amazing drinks and heavy pours and the cook! I didnt quite catch his name Alberto or Alfredo. He is amazing and has such a big heart and smile when he serves the meal. Definitely the place to be. They have a good amount of parking lot in the back. Poker on the table if you buy from the bar and pool tables. I always been here on karaokes night but tonight its so much fun even without since they play good music and have games on.

I cannot leave this place without leaving a review. it's after 9 p. M. In Arlington on a Sunday night and nowhere else is open so I thought what the heck maybe this place has food and they do. Pretty nice menu 2 for a bar. This place is more like a lodge feel to it, complete with a tree in the middle of the building (no kidding). Billiards, darts, and this is a smoking bar and they have an old fashioned cigarette machine here too. Just FYI, the prices are for the cigarettes are not an old-fashioned price 😉😉😉 they're $8 a pack. I took a photo of the selection that they have, it's so unusual now to stumble across a smoking bar in this area, but it's in Pantego not Arlington 😉 I ordered the chicken nachos, a BBQ sandwich, and some cheese sticks. They gave me plenty of sauces when I asked, I order took about 20 minutes to make. The food tasted great, although the chicken nachos were a little heavy on the jalapenos, it was still good I just take them off. The atmosphere inside was still lively because it was the aftermath of a birthday party 🎂. Everyone is so chill and pretty much just keeps to their own company, no busybodies here!

John B’s Food and Spirits – Finally Stopped (Sort Of)

I’ve driven past John B’s for 35+ years and never stopped—not once. And, well… I still haven’t. But if I did, here’s what I imagine: a solid neighborhood bar with cold drinks, decent food, and a crowd that probably wonders why I’ve never pulled in.

From the outside, it’s always had that “maybe next time” kind of look. Not exactly calling my name, but not turning me away either. I assume the burgers are solid, the beer is cold, and the regulars have their usual spots locked down.

Will I ever stop? Who knows. But after all these years, John B’s has become less of a destination and more of a personal tradition—one I apparently refuse to break.
