5 Stars – A Must-Visit Hidden Gem!

If I could give Mood Cafe more than five stars, I would! This place isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a spiritual experience for your taste buds. I’ve eaten a lot of Indian food in my life, but nothing—and I mean NOTHING—comes close to what Mood Cafe serves up.

Let’s start with the naan. I don’t know what kind of magic they’re working in that kitchen, but it’s the softest, most buttery, flavor-packed naan I’ve ever eaten. Perfectly blistered, warm, and pillowy—it’s basically a cloud of deliciousness.

Now onto the lassi drinks—good lord. The rose cardamom lassi tastes like it was handcrafted by angels. You can tell it’s made with real rose, not some watered-down syrup. It’s floral, creamy, and perfectly spiced. The mango lassi? Fresh mango, no weird aftertaste, no fake stuff—just pure tropical sunshine in a glass.

And the food? Let’s just say I still dream about the chicken tikka masala. The sauce is rich, velvety, bursting with layers of spice and flavor, and the chicken is so tender it falls apart with your fork. The biryani is fragrant, bold, and every bite is a flavor bomb—like your soul is being hugged by saffron and spice.

But what makes Mood Cafe truly unforgettable is the owner. He greets you like an old friend, checks on you like family, and creates an atmosphere that feels like you’re sitting in your own family’s kitchen, watching magic happen on the stove. It’s warm, it’s welcoming, and it’s real.

If you haven’t eaten here yet, go now. Run, don’t walk. Everyone deserves to experience this level of love and flavor at least once in their life. Mood Cafe is not just food—it’s a whole mood.

Delicious local food that is always made fresh!
Great for a casual lunch, picking up family dinner, or a quick snack/treat.
The lassis are a great size for the price, and saag paneer is my go-to because the ghee is made in-house!
Always friendly and takes care of their community. If you're in Philly, you gotta come and get in the Mood!

The owner here is the kindest man and the way he speaks about his food and culture makes you want to try the entire menu, so needless to say I've been working my way through it including all the amazing new items they've added. Seriously run don't walk and get a naan pizza some samosas a lassi or 2 and try the chaat you won't be sorry. The lamb pizza I'm eating while writing this is literally a religious experience.

I love Pakistani food but was disappointed to see there was no fresh nan but a flat bread buttered. I ordered lamb qorma but I was not happy. This restaurant is more for Americans than Pakistanis. They have suppressed the flavor according to white locals. They didn’t even had plates to serve. With this kind of food & no plates, it was expensive to eat there. I was shocked to see the bill. They served it in containers. I liked their hospitality, they were kind and nice and gave me sample of sweets.

Absolutely love this place!!! my friend and I were both amazed with how delicious the food is. it was the best chaat i’ve ever had! everything there feels very authentic and fresh. on top of the food, the cook/owner made the experience even better! he is sooo sweet and gave my friend and i free desserts (which is now one of my fav desserts) just because he said he wanted to make the experience memorable for us. Anyone can tell he loves what he does and puts his heart into what he makes. He treats his customers like family. Couldn’t recommend this place more.
