The hotel is easy to get to and we parked outside but parking was advertised but didn’t materialise.|Our room was nice and Carlos was charming but the hotel advertises a Resturant, presumably with food but it was closed on a Monday night, so no food. Carlos did us a favour and finally got through to a pizza delivery company, pizza 4/10.|I had read breakfast was good but we were served orange juice, a semi warm slice of cardboard, pat butter jam and coffee.|Sorry as much as the place was clean and Charlie helpful we won’t be going back.|I wonder why hotel room supplies a fridge but no tea, coffee in the room.

If no star is an option I will choose it. I chose cooked vegetables for starter and cuttlefish for main. Instead I have received a bag of frozen vegetables (€1) and a tin of cuttlefish which is cooked by a child who vomited (€0). How did that end up to be €27? Needless to say the service is bad as I obviously have not been eating the food at all and they chose to ignore me when I said the food is ridiculous. If you choose to come here because you have done something wrong, I will advise you: 1. "Please eat something else before you come", 2. "Bring a sick bag, because you will be eating vomit". Thank you for your attention.

Very nice bedroom with exceptional linen. But for €140 a night I expect reliable Wi-Fi - I had some work to do and left after only one night (I’d booked two) as there was no chance I’d get anything done. A wedding outside my window didn’t help - it would have been all right if I’d been on the other side of the hotel but the rooms were all taken.|The minibar is just a fridge. |Although they say on their website that the hotel is near the town centre, it is not - it is situated in an uninspiring setting 45 minutes walk from the town centre but there is a bus.

When you arrive you might feel unimpressed by the looks of the property but do not let this make you reach a first negative opinion. It is a family-owned hotel with a very friendly and helpful management. Rooms are spacious, very clean and and modern. Although 2km away from the historical center, this is more than compensated by being in a very quiet and peaceful area. Rates are very good for the Basque Country, which is not a particularly cheap region for tourists.

The hotel is in a very quiet area where you can safely park your car in the street or if you prefer, in the parking underneath the hotel. It is very easy to get there from the freeways. The reception is very friendly even as they are servicing the packed restaurant. When you open the door of you room you realize how excellent the amenities are. Everything is high quality, a bottle of water, a pen and a few candies are waiting for you. The room is very nicely decorated (con mucho gusto !) and the bedding is exceptional. The bathroom is beautifully set up in high quality materials, and refined equipments. ||You are in a five star environment, for sure !||One detail, the air contitioning, once you have understood the remote basic functions, is out of this world : NO NOISE AT ALL !!!... you cannot hear the fan, but it works very well. This is the first time in my long life that I meet such a silent aircon.||And all this pleasure is at a very reasonable price;;;; Enjoy !

We stayed one night in this hotel and i can really recommend it. Everything was perfect- the room was big enough, the extra bed for my daughter was prepared and the room was very clean and tidy. During check in the guy on the reception was not speaking very well English, but was extremely friendly and explained everything- how to get to city and back. Where to park and where to leave car if not willing to pay extra for a garage place. I think hotel is top and deserves clear recommendation- my family really liked it and would always love to come back for another stay.

When you initially approach the hotel you will probably think it doe not look like a great area, but once you have driven your car (ours was fully loaded on way from the UK) into the secure car park and exit up to reception, you are in a different little world. The gentleman who checked us in was very helpful, the owner we think, big smiles all around. There is a nice small garden area with outside bar. The bedrooms are in a separate building and very modern, as mentioned in previous reviews, lots of lovely high quality wood, bed and pillows very comfortable and great powerful shower. I think it would be difficult to get this quality elsewhere in the area for the price paid.||We had dinner in the restaurant and it was extremely good,we shared a starter and I had a lovely Sole for my main meal and hubby had suckling lamb which was beautifully cooked and served with a smile. Needless to say the Vino Tinto was an excellent Rioja.||We will definitely stay again when travelling to and from Santander/Bilbao to the UK.

I have stayed here twice now, driving down through France to Southern Spain and from the ferry at Santander. I have found it lovely - beautiful rooms, secure parking that is a dream - especially if you are fully loaded in the car - with very attentive staff. It is also close to some nice bars - including an Asturian joint that does fantastic fabada in the winter. Rooms are modern, spotlessly clean and the bathrooms immaculate. My only issue is the adjoining restaurant, which seems a bit dead and could be more lively. Apart from that, I highly recommend this joint. And the prices are very reasonable, at time of writing - although that is subject to swings in value of the £/€.
