Avoid. We were treated poorly by the waitress, who clearly had disdain for foreigners (it's not just a language thing: two on my party were native Columbians and as such fluent Spanish speakers.) More than that, my chicken was quite raw (see photo below). We spoke with the manager, who shrugged and said the staff is overworked because the owner wouldn't let him hire more people. Eat here at your own peril.

We were walking pass Padron during the Camino, and we stopped by this restaurant for a light lunch break. We had pimiento Padron (obviously), which was really good that we had some spicy peppers (finally!), and octopus (Pulpo santiaguiño) which was good and generous as well. The girls serving was friendly and correct, all in all it was a good experience after a long walk.

Probably the worst food experience in the Camino so far. Waiter speaks basically no English, okay it’s Spain… food was extremely oily… the cod was cold … the pork ribs were raw at the bone … maybe one star would have been a more adequate rating 🤔

We are walking the Camino Portuguese and arriving in Padron at 16.10 found very few restaurants open. We should have heeded the other reviews on this platform and‘walked on by’. We arrived at what appeared to be a locally favoured establishment. We found a table outside on ‘the Terrace’ and waited for someone to serve us. We waited about 10 minutes before I got up and went in to the restaurant bar area to let the two staff (a lady who was behind the bar and a young man who was serving) that we were seated outside and wished to order food and drinks, requesting a couple of menus. I was acknowledged and handed the menus. I went outside to my table and the three of us decided what we were eating and waited to be served. We waited and waited and waited, at least 10 minutes! Finally I called over to the young man who was chatting with some females at another table (teaching them how to count in Spanish) asked him to please take our order. He eventually dragged himself away from the female attraction and we ordered two Chorizos Vino Blanc, Paella (which was a sharing dish) 2 Cocacola and a tonic water. Then we sat back and waited and waited and waited until finally one of the Chorizo Vino Blanc arrived (no bread basket) and we waited for the second one to arrive but it didn’t so we decided to get on and started eating. After 10 minutes of waiting the second Chorizo starter arrived (we had finished eating the first one.) The Paella arrived and we waited for the Churrasco Ternera to arrive before starting to eat our Paella but after 10 minutes of waiting we decided to eat before it got too cold. We had finished eating our paella and the Currasco Ternera still had not arrived so we called the young man over and asked him what had happened to it? He replied that he didn’t realise that we ordered it (he wrote out our order in the first instance) so we told him again what we had ordered and he disappeared into the restaurant. After 15 minutes of waiting it finally arrived. A lovely lady came to clear our table (which had not been cleared between courses) and asked us if we wanted to order deserts. We decided that we would have coffee, pay and leave. She was very efficient and friendly, helping us with our very poor Spanish translation. We paid an awful lot for very poor service, standard of food and very little atmosphere. The fact that we had to pay more to sit outside in a public square is disappointing. I strongly recommend that you’walk on by’ as there is a much better option just around the corner opposite the Cathedral.

The food here is pretty legit. The service, however, was a bit rude. If your economy is bound to the prilgrims doing El Caminó, is it not wise to be rude to them as they come in from a long walk. Maybe they had a bad day, who knows, but I hope that they take this review with the honest feedback that it is intending to do.

Food amazing and if you get good service, please give them a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ review.

I would not recommend this place at all. Firstly, the food just wasn't good. I ordered the barbecue pork and it was pretty charred which is fine, but there was also little to no meat on the bone. Very few fries were given with the meat too, so I left still hungry and went to the grocery store after. Another member of our group got grilled chicken, and also said the same, that his chicken was mostly bone and inedible. Two members of our party got the paella and they said it was good, but they were the only ones satisfied with the taste of their meal.

Second, it took about an hour to be served. The menu states that paella takes at least 30 minutes to prepare and the members of our party that got it were okay with waiting, but we also ordered 3 other meals and Padron peppers. The first thing to arrive was my meal after an hour of waiting. I think it was a poor decision on the restaurant's part to not bring our starter (the peppers) and the bread basket out while some were waiting on the paella.

Our waitress was personally very nice, but the long wait for EVERY item, not just the paella, makes a service review of higher than two stars too generous. Really not good and it was kind of pricey for walking away hungry.

I don’t know how the food tastes here, because the server never came. My friend sat for dinner here earlier than I, I spoke with her for a good hour and no one came. Then she went to pay the check and said she would tell them to come over. I waited some more, by the time I got up to ask what’s going on the kitchen was closed. I am just saying, I got here at 7:20pm, it is now 9:00pm, no one even bothered to ask or pick up the plates or anything. When I approached them they were upset that I told them I had been sitting there all this time and acted offensively. I get it, small two , three servers, but you never stopped by. Not a single time since I sat here, the least you could have been is polite.

Not bad.. Not great. It’s a rather small restaurant with a terrace on a square. Meat & fish & Seefood dishes. 1 woman was working the tables.. so services Not very Quick when we were there. But certainly friendly. Reasonable prices. Lubina was good. Langoustines were Not bad. Chipirones santiaguiño (chipirones in a Sauce) were Not quite our taste.
