Huge shoutout to Carlos, the bartender at the upstairs patio bar at Towel City Tavern! What started as a quiet night quickly turned into an unforgettable experience thanks to him. Carlos brought the energy, made incredible drinks, and somehow knew exactly what music the crowd needed. The vibe completely shifted once he took over—everyone was having a great time, and it felt like a private party with the perfect host. If you’re ever there and he’s behind the bar, stay. You’re in for a good time. 🍹🎶👏

Great addition to area. Host was very sweet. Got seated quickly on a Wednesday evening. Given complimentary hush puppies. This was our first visit.

Waitress took a while, she had too many tables. She was very nice and attentive as she could be.

Got 2 different burgers and a beer. (Kolsch/black ale) very good. My grilled broccolini smelled yummy, but had 0 seasonings. Total was about $55. I did notice across the street at ChopHouse their burgers are a couple dollars cheaper. Not sure of the difference.

Love the fabric napkins, nice touch. Odd there weren't salt/pepper shakers on every table. We had to get up and get one. Nice atmosphere too, like the vibe. Overall very enjoyable.

From start to finish, our experience was awesome. The terrace had a great vibe, with the perfect blend of energy and relaxation while watching a game, actually got to see an awesome home run.
The bar tenders provided outstanding customer service. The drinks we had were perfect.
We highly recommend stopping by if you're looking for excellent drinks, great view and even better service. We’ll definitely be coming back!

We have eaten here numerous times since they opened. It has steadily declined in quality and experience each time. Last night we decided to give it one more shot since we really really want to see Towel City succeed!
I ordered the salmon which I've gotten several times before. Clearly they have made some changes. The $25 salmon was thin, dry and rather tasteless. It's now called "lemon pepper" and evidently they no longer smoke it because there was zero smoke flavor. Isn't this a smokehouse?
The carrots used to be really flavorful roasted carrots. Now they are evidently baby carrots cooked in butter. Very bland and underwhelming.
The sweet potatoes were decent although they were served luke warm.
It was a Wednesday night so I was able to enjoy a 50% off glass of wine to accompany my meal. Unfortunately two of the gnats constantly buzzing around our table ended up in my glass before I could finish it.
It pains us to see this restaurant with such an awesome location and amazing potential to continue to decline in quality, value and experience. I really hope they can make some major changes to turn this place around. We desperately need restaurants in the area. Unless major improvements happen, we won't be back.

This was the absolute worst, most disgusting BBQ I have ever had the misfortune of eating in my life. Literally EVERYTHING on my plate was nasty. We're also not especially picky people, but every person in our party of six gave the same review. The food was absolutely sub-par. Service was fine, food was absolutely disgusting. Our server said this is feedback that she has heard repeatedly and that they've hired a new pit master and new kitchen staff. It's clearly not made a difference. DO NOT EAT HERE.

Forgot to include: the facilities themselves were also gross and not maintained. The restroom we used was filthy, had no toilet paper and no hand soap. Our food was served lukewarm, and one of our party had a huge piece of skin/gristle in her pulled chicken.

I truly feel bad for the servers here trying their best. Understaffed on a Saturday baseball night. Making people wait over an hour with empty tables for AWFUL food. I mean truly the worst we’ve ever had. My
Husband ordered the pull pork and said it was inedible. The picture on this review is his dish, he only took one bite of his “toast” didn’t touch the rest. That’s supposed to be a half pound of pork… and the coleslaw which was also awful he got maybe a tablespoon? Cold and gross. Think $18 bought my husband food poisoning later by the sounds of it. I ordered a burger, also just not good. I would’ve expected that quality of a burger at a hospital or airport and the patty was super small…. We’re not coming back.

We love Towel City! Such a great addition to downtown — the upstairs terrace is the best spot! Great food, drinks, and the perfect vibes every time. 👏🏼✨

The food was Awesome! The service was great! The atmosphere is a little confusing. I like it, but it's like a very bright brewery, but trying to be an upscale restaurant. Nothing wrong I guess. Just different.
Appetizer, fried Green Tomatoes.
I ordered the 1/2 rack of St. Louis style ribs with a side of cheese grits! Awesome.
My wife ordered the Shrimp & Grits! Awesome!
